Overcoming Overwhelm

Soft Portrait Veil

Life hits harder for sensitive folks. Every interaction, emotion, sound, smell, and sensation builds up, eventually causing overwhelm or shutdown. As much as we'd like to, we can't always change our environment, and we can't force ourselves to be less sensitive, but we can develop skills to support ourselves and navigate the world more effectively. Pomegranate Psychotherapy is offering weekly classes to help you learn how to overcome overwhelm. Tayla Kelley (AMFT #148248) will teach you how to identify and address the sources of overwhelm sooner and more effectively so that they don't have to cause a crash out. You'll discover how to increase your resilience so that you can face your life with more confidence.

Based on Dialectical Behavior Theory (DBT) the classes will help you learn to identify overwhelm as it is building so that you can make different choices and avoid shutting down or exploding, help you develop skills to regulate your nervous system when things are starting to get intense, help you understand your emotions and work more effectively with them, and develop skills to handle conflict and set boundaries more effectively.

This is a drop in class covering a different topic/skill each week. Pick an individual class or join the whole series to build a solid foundation for a more peaceful life.
